About the event
Welcome the summer with a beginner friendly yoga flow and live music to celebrate Make Music Day in Downtown Troy!

The fourth annual Make Music Troy, a wonderful mix of free, public musical events, returns on Sunday, June 21. Make Music Troy is part of Make Music Day, a global music celebration that takes place on the summer solstice each year and brings people of all ages and skill levels together to make music. This year, over 100 U.S. cities will host thousands of Make Music performances across the country as part of the world’s largest annual music event.

Adam Tinkle is a multidisciplinary artist, parent and teacher. Originally from Maine, and now based in Troy by way of Southern California, Adam’s work is fueled by love for artistic community, collaboration and collectivity, and grounded in lifelong study and practice of music - pop, folk, jazz, experimental, and everything in between. Teaching at Skidmore College since 2014, Adam has also been involved in starting artist-run spaces and series since he was 17 - most recently Picture Lock One, a 30-seat microcinema in a former bank vault at 50 4th St in Troy. In 2026, he has shared the stage with Klezmer legend David Kracauer, developed a new musical score for Epstein/Bunuel’s 1928 Fall of the House of Usher, premiered an evening-length work for pipe organ as Artist-in-Residence at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, and mounted an exhibition at Saratoga Arts of films, prints and sculptures derived from his visual music practice. And he’s a longtime regular at Maria’s Saturday community yoga classes!
