Joyful Embodied Workshop Series: Women Coming Together in Times of Upheaval Are you overwhelmed and stressed about what’s happening in the world? Want to do something about it and would like support getting started? If so, join us for a series that could help you make the shift to begin taking action on your cause of choice while connecting with like-minded people, expanding your network and developing a more loving relationship with your body. What can you expect? Six fun and engaging online sessions, containers for growth for those who identify as women and feel ready to take new steps to positively impact our beautiful planet. You will collaborate with a peer partner to keep the learning going in between sessions, learn some of the science behind the meditations and breathing exercises we practice together, and come away with practical techniques and knowledge that can help rewire your nervous system for enhanced well-being. Madeline Kennedy, MSW, LMSW, CMI, has been helping women and people change and grow for the better part of thirty years. “Madi” is a licensed master social worker with specializations in aging and behavior change, is a certified meditation instructor, and an advanced social presencing theater (SPT) facilitator. Having personal experience with trauma, Madi dramatically improved their nervous system and wellbeing through SPT, meditation, yoga, and other embodiment practices, and has helped many clients do the same. Madi also used these practices to help create large-scale system changes to advance human rights in NY, to achieve executive positions, and continues today to work to help people with disabilities, the environment, and animals as a therapist, advocate, and consultant. A dynamic workshop and training facilitator for the better part of the last two decades, Madi is excited to share this latest series with women. Through a private practice Madi offers integrative therapy for adults informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT, DBT, SPT, using a holistic somatic/body-based approach. Known for her grounded and compassionate approach, Meghan leads classes, workshops and yoga teacher training programs that honor the whole being.
